ShortcutKey2URL Firefox addon allows you to assign keyboard shortcuts to open web sites by using any of the alphanumerical keys. The keys that are disallowed are the Function keys and the special keys (Enter, Shift, Alt etc).
There are three ways to create shortcuts:
- Access ShortcutKey2URL’s configuration window from the Tools menu and directly enter the URLs.
- Open the website in Firefox and click on the ShortcutKey2URL icon that appears on the address bar.
- Right-click on a hyperlink and click on Add ShortcutKey2URL in the context menu.
To open a URL, simply press the startup key Ctrl + Q (which can be changed) followed by the URL shortcut key. For instance, if you have set the key ‘G’ as a shortcut to open www.gmail.com , press Ctrl + Q, release the keys and then press G. You have to press the shortcut key within 5 seconds of pressing the startup key combination. The validity period of 5 seconds is indicated by a glowing ShortcutKey2URL icon in the address bar.
If you are a keyboard junkie and have no problem remembering the shortcuts, you should have a good time using this addon.

相較於高階設備的建議售價通常都在30萬元以上，這款產品的售價較便宜，對網路頻寬的要求也較低，雖然畫質不如HD設備，不過我們直接以它連接液晶螢幕或投影機來看，呈現出來的影像清晰程度還算是不錯。

今期《新假期》有74頁的《結婚完全手冊》，快結婚的朋友可來看看啊；待嫁的女友們也不妨買本偷偷放在男友家中 。今期的《飲食字典》，我也來湊熱鬧，講講和婚宴有關的英文。
Toast /təʊst/
Toast 不單指烘過的麵包，也指祝酒時所說的話。在婚宴裡，伴郎伴娘，或雙方家長，都可能在賓客面前舉杯，說一些祝賀的話，這叫 to propose a toast，也可叫 to make a toast。
婚宴中最重要的 toast，往往是伴郎（best man）說的，稱為 the best man's toast。他站起來，用叉子敲敲玻璃杯引人注意，然後說：I would like to propose a toast to the happy couple.
這當然沒有形式限制，或可說：Ladies and gentleman, I'd like to say a few words about the bride and groom.
說過開場白，簡單的介紹過自己，就可以入正題了。喜歡說甚麼都可以，一般會說一些祝賀的說話，或說一些有趣的小故事，或引用一些名言再加以發揮。不論說甚麼都好，切忌太長。舉著酒杯長篇大論，由兒時講到現在，蚊都訓了。
所以 toasting 寧短莫長，真的想不到說甚麼，簡單說句：Here's to the bride and groom. May you have a lifetime of love and happiness. 就算了。
搞 gag 可以，但爛 gag 可免則免，否則大家不知道笑好還是不笑好。不過要數最可怕的 wedding toast，肯定是英國第一笑匠 Rowan Atkinson（扮 Mr. Bean 的演員）表演棟篤笑時扮醉酒外父的 toast：
I would like to take this opportunity to say a word or two about Martin.
我要藉此機會，講一講 Martin 這個小伙子。
As far as I'm concerned, my daughter could not have chosen a more delightful, charming, witty, responsible, wealthy, well-placed, good-looking, and fertile young man, than Martin as her husband.
Martin 他討人歡喜，有魅力，轉數快，有責任感，有錢，有地位，樣貌好，連生育能力也高；我看，世上沒有人比它更適合當我女兒的丈夫。
And I therefore ask the question: Why the hell did she marry Gerald instead?!

發音貼士
I'd like to propose a toast to the bride and groom.
留意 propose 首音節讀輕聲（/prə/），不必太用力的去讀。而字尾的 se 其實讀 /z/ 音，聲帶明顯震動。另外，在英式英文中，propose 第二音節 pose 和 toast 字的響音皆為 /əʊ/，跟粵語「舖」或「滔」的響音稍有分別。聽一聽錄音就會明白。

“Python Jamendo Audio” or Pyjama is a python / GTK audio streaming application, which is thought to bring the free Jamendo - music on your PC. You can browse through artists and albums, mark your favorite songs and create playlists.
Pyjama is designed to make exploring of the Jamendo music - archive more comfortable: it’s going to bring free music right on your desktop. At the same time it presents links to Jamendo’s albums and artists all the time, so you can get additional infos, post comments and use all the other usefull community functions on Jamendo.
Pyjama is NOT giving you endless lists of artists, albums and tracks which make it all but impossible to discover something one might like. Instead of that it sorts all the albums on Jamendo at your wish (or actually at the criteria given by Jamendo).
Following features are already implemented:
* sorting of albums by date, downloads, listeners, rating of the week, rating of the month, overall rating..
* showing albums by tag
* pagination
* searching of artists, albums and tracks
* album and artist- view, presenting covers and images, other albums and additional informations

Many blogs offer email subscriptions to their users, however in case of feedburner the users have to confirm their email address before they can start getting updates from the blog. In many cases, users either forget or do not know that they have to confirm their email address.
Notify Unconfirmed Subscribers is a wordpress plugin that aims to solve a problem form blog owners by fetching the uncofirmed email subscribers from their Feed burner account and allows them to send a short message asking them to confirm their email accounts.
NUS does not store any username / password details you provide with for fetching the uncofirmed users from Feedburner account and is compatible with the latest transition of Feedburner to Google.

Ambroos lets you add Aero Glass in Firefox menubar, addressbar, statusbar, Navigation and Bookmarks toolbar.
It also adds a text shadow effect for the text which looks great with the glass. You can download this Firefox addon from here.
